Sign of the times? Getting my butt kicked

FEB 28, 2014 UPDATE: Less than half a day left, can we hit $2,500?

A little over a month ago, I started a fundraiser for my new book which is based on Carroll Quigley's Tragedy & Hope. As of right now, I'm about $23,000 behind the guy who is raising funds for a book that teaches people how to tie each other up! Here is his "pitch" that, with 14 days left, has already raised more than $25,000!

Now, here is the question:
Am I doing something wrong, or is this just a sign of the times?

I'll admit that my video (originally recorded in 2012) isn't nearly as festive, and the subject matter of my book is probably a little less exciting for some than "erotic bondage." But are there really ten times as many people interested in tying each other up? If so, I'm a bit worried.

The good news is I've only got to raise about another $1,200 to reach the fundraising goal for "Tragedy and Hope 101." The bad news is I've only got a few days left to do it. If you'd like to support the campaign, and get one of the first copies of the book when they start rolling off the presses (signed and dated by me), you can do so here:

Thanks again!
